State agencies and some of the best-known organizations and businesses are tapping into Southwick Associates’ regional reports (Great Lakes, North Plains, Northeast, South Central, Southeast, Western) to better understand the recreational, purchasing and media habits of anglers, hunters and shooters in their specific state. These critical insights are used to help support new habitat efforts, the creation of new recreational programs, guide marketing and promotional efforts, as well as understand the effectiveness of existing efforts.

These regional reports are an accumulation of a year’s worth of data that is collected through proprietary monthly surveys of anglers, hunters and shooters: HunterSurvey.com, AnglerSurvey.com, ShooterSurvey.com and the Southwick Associates Media Monitor. These reports are available at no cost to members of state agencies, and provide a useful top-level overview of participation, purchasing behavior and media usage by hunters and fishermen in each region. These free reports are provided as a “thank you” for the years of valuable license sales information and other data received from states, which has been an important part of our work.
