The results will be used by companies in the fishing and shooting industry to develop better products serving sportsmen. The results will also be provided at no cost to the American Sportfishing Association, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, fish and wildlife agencies, etc. to help their efforts to protect and expand hunting, shooting and fishing opportunities across the U.S.
Demographic information is collected about the habits and preferences of people who participate. This helps us better understand sportsmen and women who participate. Southwick Associates has developed a method to weight (adjust) online responses to reflect the entire population of sportsmen and women across the nation. Our proprietary process allows us to adjust data collected online and adjust it to reflect all hunters, shooters and anglers.
$100 Gift Certificates are offered each other month as an incentive to those who participate. Each other month, 5 respondents from each survey, will be randomly drawn to win a $100 gift certificate to the sporting goods retailer of their choice.

AnglerSurvey.com helps the sportfishing industry and fish & wildlife agencies track consumer participation and expenditure trends. Using email and the web, this service will survey a panel of anglers across the U.S. every 2 months. Each survey will ask the participant if they:
- Fished in the previous months
- How many days did they fish
- Which species did they seek when they fished in the previous months
- Which types of fishing activities did they undertake in the previous months
- Which fishing products did they purchase in the past months, with sub-questions including: Brand purchased, Amount spent, Where the purchase was made (mass merchandiser, specialty store, independent, online, etc.), Details about the product (type of lure, etc.)
An annual subscription to the Angler Trends Report is $4,000, (15% discount for members of ASA, AFFTA, POMA). Annual single category reports are available from $850 to $1,000.

Using email and the web, this service will survey a panel of hunting and shooting enthusiasts across the U.S. every month. Each survey will ask the participant if they:
- Hunted or went shooting in the previous months
- How many days did they hunt or shoot
- Which species did they seek when they hunted in the previous months
- Which types of hunting or shooting activities did they undertake in the previous months
- Which hunting and shooting products did they purchase in the past months, with sub-questions including: Brand purchased, Amount spent, Where the purchase was made (mass merchandiser, specialty store, independent, online, etc.), Details about the product (gauge size, etc.)

The Southwick Associates Media Monitor
This presents the results of a quarterly online consumer panel survey that tracks hunter, angler and shooters’ media consumption preferences. The purpose of the Media Monitor is to measure use of outdoor media – namely magazine, television, and internet (social media) in the fishing, hunting and shooting communities and to match sportsmen’s purchasing preferences to specific media programs and titles. Participants from our Shooter, Hunter and Angler Surveys are invited to take this quarterly.
